About the Role
Our Case Specialist will work closely with TPG Management, Unification Specialists, and other stakeholders as applicable and in collaboration with TPG corporate support staff as needed.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct background checks and submit results on cases requested by stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Run and verify addresses using several systems, including Google Maps, Google Earth, Smarty Streets, USPS, etc.
- Print, package, and mail documents to clients for verification of addresses and Child Abuse and Neglect checks purposes.
- Review relevant data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Enter information onto spreadsheets to track completion of pending tasks in order to meet required deadlines.
- Ability to manage and respond to requests via email and ensure emails are addressed immediately.
- Encrypt documents as necessary to protect PII to ensure client confidentiality and privacy.
- Communicate and elevate concerns to stakeholders and escalate complex issues to the Case Specialist management team for guidance.
- Perform related duties as assigned within your scope of practice; management reserves the right to revise these duties as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
- Possess an associate degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited university (a high school diploma and two (2) or more years of relevant experience may be substituted for an associate degree).
- Must possess strong computer skills in MS Office, including Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Requires effective communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with different departments within the company, employees and with clients as needed.
- Ability to take technical direction and feedback from various sources.
- Committed to providing outstanding customer service and representation of TPG in a professional manner.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet stringent deadlines, balance multiple tasks, and work in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail.

- Demonstrated ability to service a diverse group of clients, including refugees and other vulnerable populations.
- Proven experience and comfort with technology, able to quickly learn new software applications.

- Data Entry Experience (preferred).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays. Schedules are subject to change due to changes in the operations.
- Ability to type 45 wpm.

Work Environment
- This role is based in Ashburn, VA and Doral, FL and will be hybrid (onsite/remote) in nature. Tasks/assignments are dynamic and will change based on needs and resource availability, meaning Case Specialists are expected to provide additional administrative support, including the completion of data entry and other duties, as needed.
- Since this is a hybrid role, when not working in-person, you must have a dedicated home workspace conducive to full videoconferencing (camera and audio) for facilitating webinars and online discussions.
Work Schedule
- This is a full-time hybrid position, typically working 8am-5pm local time, Monday through Friday, 2-3 days in-person and 2 days remotely. Hours may vary depending on needs.
- Due to the importance of this position, employees supporting this contract can be required to work extended hours including evening/overnight work, on-call, holidays, and weekends to support time-sensitive or real-time complex services. This position is considered ESSENTIAL – Case Specialist are required to report and work during emergencies or crises, including inclement weather, natural and man-made disasters, etc. Travel may be required based on project needs.
Condition of Employment
- Complete a rigorous culture and competency testing process

- Must be at least 21 years of age
- A valid US Driver’s license
- Have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
Background Investigation and Security Requirements
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government background investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Must be a U.S Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Residency requirement - 3 consecutive years in the last 5 years.
- Internal background check to the satisfaction of contract requirements
Physical Demands
- Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 10% of the time.
- Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 10% of the time.
- Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type and use a telephone system 100% of the time.
- Sitting: Sitting for prolonged and extended periods of time.
