About the Position
OpenLoop is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant who is motivated to help providers by acting as a liaison on behalf of the patient. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives while contributing to the success of our innovative care delivery model.
Responsibilities
Assists the physician by helping schedule, provide patient with scheduling information to obtain specialty testing, and/or specialty physician consultation
Confirm medication compliance with patients
Reconcile EHR Data and update consult notes by documenting patient data, treatments, procedures, and patient education
Complete intervention recommendations with patient from provider
Document all patient calls in the EHR and help patients meet goals outlined in the provider's care plan
Assist Physician with medication refills
Answers calls and route all incoming correspondence to appropriate staff
Supports patients and team members with use of videoconference technology
Manage patient registration and scheduling
Administrative and operations duties as assigned
Current CMA certification
Night and weekend availability
Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare, with a focus on patient engagement and GLP-1 medications.
Demonstrates awareness of medical/legal issues, patient rights and compliance with standards of regulatory
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and have the ability to assess data.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Empathetic and compassionate demeanor, with a genuine desire to help others achieve their health and wellness goals.
Familiarity with health coaching principles, behavior change techniques, and motivational interviewing strategies.
Comfortable using technology and software tools to facilitate virtual consultations, communication, and care plan management.
Passion for promoting healthy lifestyle behaviors and improving patient outcomes.
