We recently became an accredited higher education institution in South Africa and launched a game-changing mobile app that offers self-paced, bite-sized modules to help teachers in their professional development journey. More than 50,000 teachers in Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria have already enrolled in our professional development modules and joined a pan-African community of peers and experts who provide support and feedback along the way.


We are looking to hire a Design Consultant to create clear, concise, and user-friendly content for Upskill and our higher education qualifications for teachers in the primary years

What does the role entail?

As a Design Consultant, you will be responsible for developing and creating engaging and effective instructional content for a variety of learning audiences and platforms i.e. Upskill; our professional development platform, and our higher education offerings. You will work closely with the Director of Learning Experience and Chief Learning Officer to identify learning needs, assess existing content, and develop new content that meets the needs of our users and students, primarily teachers in low-cost private schools. 


More specifically  you will;

  • Conduct research and analyze learning needs to identify opportunities for new or improved instructional content
  • Collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to develop learning objectives, assessments, and activities
  • Write and edit clear, concise, and engaging instructional content
  • Use multimedia elements, such as images, videos, and interactive activities, to enhance the learning experience
  • Design and develop learning modules, courses, and other learning materials leveraging artificial intelligence for design efficiency
  • Test and evaluate instructional content to ensure that it is effective and meets the needs of learners
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest instructional design trends and best practice


Selection Criteria

  • A Masters degree in Education qualification (PhD degree will be an added advantage) in a related specialization, strong preference for demonstrated experience in basic primary education, Mathematics, Ghanaian languages, and Science. 
  • At Least 3 years of relevant subject experience 
  • You are highly adaptable, with strong critical thinking, planning, and execution skills
  • You are an outstanding written communicator
  • Commitment to excellence in the provision of service to students
