Job Description

C2's client, a small, but growing branding, marketing, social, and PR agency seeks an experienced Part-time Copywriter to provide support to their team. The Copywriter will tackle communication challenges and be expected to deliver imaginative, on-brand solutions. They will draw on their wealth of past project experiences to consistently deliver high-quality, insightful work that achieves outstanding results.

Start date: As soon as they find the right candidate
Duration: Part-time contract (approximately 2-3 months)
Location: Remote
Compensation: $35-$40/hour as W2 employee of C2., paid bi-weekly
Benefits: All C2 talent working 30+hours/week for 30 days are eligible for medical, dental, and optional vision insurance, life insurance, after 90 days we offer 401(k) with match and accrual of PTO

Ideal Candidate:
This position requires a candidate to be a skilled storyteller with a passion for collaborating with creatives and strategists to craft compelling brand voices. Their expertise spans creating a brand voice, 360 campaign concepts, digital activations, interactive scripts, and other forms of content and marketing. While copywriting is their forte, they will also possess broad industry knowledge that extends to social media, online marketing, and traditional advertising, making them a well-rounded and versatile contributor.

Responsibilities:Β 

  • Drive the development of innovative concepts and ideas
  • Collaborate with designers, art directors, and creative directors to bring creative visions to life
  • Ensure alignment between copy tone and style with the overall visual direction
  • Contribute to strategic brainstorming, campaign planning, creative brief development, and execution
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality
  • Engage with project teams to understand business goals and target audience demographics
  • Transform creative briefs into compelling and effective copy concepts
  • Uphold high standards of copywriting and ensure quality control throughout all deliverables

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of copywriting experience in an agency setting, including expertise in traditional, digital and social media marketing
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to adapt to various voices and styles for a wide range of projects and audiences
  • Demonstrated talent for quick, creative thinking with meticulous attention to detail, even under tight deadlines
  • Strong enthusiasm for and a clear understanding of web trends, technologies, and digital platforms
  • Solid grasp of marketing strategies, particularly in direct marketing, and advertising principles
  • Experience in brainstorming, campaign development, crafting creative briefs, and executing creative ideas
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle diverse writing demands effectively
  • Experience creating content for political campaigns is a plus
