Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Part-time or Fractional General Counsel to provide strategic legal counsel and support, ensuring that the company's operations in the food delivery industry comply with legal regulations. The ideal candidate should possess cross-border legal experience, a deep understanding of the food delivery sector, and expertise in corporate structuring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive strategic legal advice covering compliance, contracts, intellectual property, labor law, and other relevant legal areas.
- Oversee and mentor the 9 person legal team
- Offer legal support for the companyβs business development in the US and other countries, ensuring adherence to local laws and regulations.
- Assist in planning and structuring the companyβs potential IPO and financing strategies, including corporate governance and compliance requirements.
- Participate in and review important contracts and legal documents, providing risk assessment and management recommendations.
- Assist in communications and coordination with external legal advisors and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor changes in industry regulations, evaluate their impact on the companyβs operations, and propose response strategies.
- Provide legal training and guidance to management and departments, enhancing compliance awareness.
Qualifications:
- Masterβs degree in law or a related field, with a valid legal practicing certificate.
- Minimum of 5 years of legal experience in the food delivery industry or related fields, particularly in cross-border legal matters.
- Experience in corporate structuring, IPO planning, and litigation at the group level is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and legal research capabilities, with the ability to identify and manage legal risks effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a significant plus.
