PeopleSoft Financial Aid Consultant - (Technical Experience Preferred)

College Aid Services
Part-time
Remote

Are you an experienced professional with a deep functional and technical understanding of the Oracle PeopleSoft software platform and a passion for optimizing financial aid operations in higher education? College Aid Services is actively seeking consultants to join our dynamic team and make a lasting impact on institutions across the country.

Position Overview:

As a College Aid Services Consultant, you will take on various pivotal roles, such as financial aid director, assistant director, or counselor, within a diverse range of educational institutions. Your primary responsibilities may include overseeing Title IV aid programs, staffing, and operational management on an interim basis. Our ideal candidate is committed to enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring compliance, and advancing enrollment objectives while prioritizing exceptional customer service and student success.

Assignments can be long or short-term and may include travel. Hours may vary due to the client's location and requested support level. Therefore, we are looking for individuals that have the flexibility to travel anywhere across the United States to support our clients. In most cases, part-time assignments allow the most flexibility on hours and tend to be short-term assignments. In some cases, based on the client's request, long-term assignments may initially require travel, but over time can be reduced to a hybrid schedule that calls for less travel.

You will have control on which client assignments you choose to participate in.

We are also specifically seeking PeopleSoft tech-savvy consultants to join our Business Process Review Team.  These consultants work on a part-time basis and it typically involves 4-6 weeks of remote part-time work and one week full-time on-site at the client's institution.

Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve business processes and streamline operations.
  • Evaluate business processes and technology to support the institution’s student information systems and technology utilized by the institution.
  • Manage Title IV aid programs and associated compliance requirements.
  • Oversee federal loan and grant processing, originations, and disbursements.
  • Utilize your Oracle PeopleSoft expertise for tasks associated with the management of Title IV aid.
  • Create dynamic reports to address various system management tasks and duties, including FISAP and Reconciliation.
  • Share functional and technical expertise to support CAS team members with challenges facing their clients.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial aid roles.
  • At least 5 years of director-level and leadership experience if filling a interim director role.
  • Proficiency in the Oracle PeopleSoft software platform.
  • College degree preferred, or equivalent progressive experience.
  • Strong grasp of federal regulations and compliance, including federal reporting requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to align teams toward common goals.
  • Strategic thinking and leadership capabilities.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Aptitude for motivating, developing, and training staff.
  • Flexible availability for contract assignments, including potential travel.
  • Prior consulting experience preferred.
