About the role:

Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing the existing accounts in NSW to ensure account security and business retention by implementing professional account management processes.  This position is a standalone role and is responsible for strengthening customer relationships, managing profitability, technical services as well as new business development.  This role is hands on involving sampling of mineral slurries, recording process data, and testing results. Checking chemical dosages, customer inventories and much more.  Monthly reporting and customer reviews are an essential part of the role. You will require at least 5 years plus industry experience, technical knowledge in chemistry and a strong focus on continuous improvement projects and customer value assurance. This position is located in the Hunter Valley, NSW.

Responsibilities:

  • Build new and maintain existing customer relationships
  • Manage existing customer accounts
  • Gain new customer accounts
  • Conduct chemical testing on customer slurry and water samples
  • Manage Solenis product inventory on customer sites
  • Work with Contractors to manage equipment refurb/build as required

Skills and experience:

To be successful in this role and a key contributor to our commercial team, you will need the following:

  • 5 years plus experience in the industry and chemical industry required – mandatory
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Previous experience in a sales/service and account management role (advantageous)
  • Current driver’s license
  • Ability to troubleshoot and identify problem and solutions
  • Verbal communication, customer relations
  • Able to prioritize and manage own workload with minimal supervision
