Overview

As a Program Coordinator, you’ll be helping the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to meet the objectives outlined in its new Strategic Operating Plan. You’ll help the IRS to evaluate its notices and letters, thereby supporting one of the most important federal government processes: the collection of revenue. This position will provide invaluable experience evaluating, redesigning, and rewriting notices and letters so the IRS can better serve the United States and its citizens. 

 

This will be a remote position, that will be part-time. 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the government and the Human-Centered Design Expert to develop, conduct, and administer tests, focus groups, and surveys.
  • Determine the appropriate methods of delivery for the tests, focus groups, and surveys.
  • Prepare correspondence to secure necessary approvals from the Office of Management and Budget and other government approval authorities.
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct tests; lead focus groups; and administer surveys about IRS notices and letters.
  • Help the Project Manager to create a detailed testing plan and timeline.
  • Organize and/or facilitate focus groups.
  • Identify and resolve data collection problems.
  • Communicate with the IRS to identify policies and procedures to be inserted into the IRS Correspondence Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Coordinate with IRS business operating divisions and functional operating divisions on proposed changes to IRS Correspondence SOPs.
  • Provide expert advice to solve problems and improve processes.
  • Translate requirements into plans for performing services, supervise the performance of services, perform services, provide counsel, and provide quality control and oversight.
  • Provide high-level expert guidance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, data science, public policy, public administration, or a similar field of study.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar role.
    • Preferred: At least 4 years of experience in a similar federal civilian or contractor position.
  • Strong communication, coordination, teamwork, outreach, and customer service skills.

Starting Pay

USD $102,485.11/Yr.
